Joor is a private network for fashion designers and retailers. Boutiques can use the platform to browse through designers’ collections, find new brands and place their orders.
Mona Bijoor founded the company after her experience as a fashion buyer in tradeshows and showrooms. The online wholesale platform already has 200 brands and 1500 retailers and is aiming at 1000 designers and 7500 stores globally. It focuses exclusively on women’s wear and contemporary brands.
Joor faces competition from other wholesale platforms, such as retourware24, but none focuses solely on high-end fashion. Fashionstake is also in the same market, as an alternative crowdfunding platform for fashion designers. Eventually, other online retailers such as net-a-porter or ASOS could go into the professional market as well.
