Today we’re going to New York!
The Big Apple has been buzzing with tech ideas and startups are now going back to the East Coast to launch their businesses.
Enterproid is a NY startup that mirrors the city’s reborn tech DNA. Built on the experience of three former Morgan Stanley employees, the Enterproid team used its tech expertise to create a solution for corporate clients. Their first product – Divide – creates a split environment on mobile phones, so that users can have both their work and personal profiles in one device.
The application targets corporate clients who usually provide a work phone to their employees. Enterproid wants to substitute the need for a blackberry. Users can have access to social networks, gaming applications or personal emails on their personal profile. At the same time, their professional information and work applications are stored in a different partition, complying with the privacy and security needs of enterprises.
Enterproid’s core team is spread around the globe – with offices in New York, London and Hong Kong. Whilst the developing team sits in Hong Kong, the executive headquarters are in New York. Alexander Trewby, Andrew Toy and David Zhu are the co-founders. The startup raised a first convertible debt round and a second $1.3m seed round. Genacast Ventures is the main investor.
Divide is now in beta testing but Enterproid hopes to expand its application further into more environments other than work/play.
